The intention is that you cant ignore your realm when you get slightly big enough. Now currently playing a macedon campaign, i'm having quite some trouble dealing with them but you have to treat them like a faction almost. IIRC these commander spawns are a separate thing from the normal weaker rebels that may spawn. Playing as them, i actually lost several settlements, was really cool lol, as you feel strained. In an empire the size of arche seleukeia, you basically have 1 rebel stack appearing every year or so. With a small chance of happening every region. The frequency of their spawns is 10-15 turns i think. These rebel stacks have commanders and will attack poorly garrisoned settlements. ![]()
